“Griffins” A mural by @christopherpaultoth
This mural of Walter Burley Griffin and his wife Marion Mahony Griffin can be found on the side of the new Woolstore at Kingsborough Village @kingsboroughcbr. Together the Griffins won the international competition to design Canberra in 1912.
The mural’s location is significant as it is located on the corner of The Causeway and Cunningham Streets in Kingston, two streets planned by the Griffins over a century before the artwork was installed.
