Travel connections to Ceduna and Cowell
Find out how you can travel to Ceduna and home from Cowell so you can make the most of your cycling holiday to South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula.

How to get to Ceduna*
Ceduna is 780km west of Adelaide
To avoid missing the tour we recommend you arrive in Ceduna no later than Monday afternoon 27 November 2023 / 25 November 2024. For those NOT travelling with Mulga Tours we will require you to arrive in Ceduna no later than 6.00pm to enable us to complete the mandatory pre-tour equipment and gear checks. We will be leaving Ceduna at 8.30am on Tuesday morning and we will be unable to delay our departure if you have been delayed.
Travel from Adelaide with Mulga Bicycle Tours:
We will be driving to Ceduna over 2 days departing the HotelMOTEL Adelaide hotel on Saturday, 25 November 2023 / 23 November 2024 at 11.30am. We will be stopping overnight at the Majestic Oasis Apartment in Port Augusta before continuing on to and arriving in Ceduna on Sunday 26 November 2023 / 24 November 2024, around 5.00pm, taking breaks on the way in Kimba and Wudinna.
The cost is $440 single and $280 per person twin share and includes accommodation, dinner and continental breakfast in Port Augusta, bike and luggage transfer, and an extra night's accommodation in Ceduna so you can have a free day prior to the tour's commencement.
Please arrive at HotelMOTEL no later than 10.00am to enable us to complete the mandatory pre-tour equipment and gear checks.

Travel from Adelaide by plane:
Regional Express (REX) flies between Adelaide and Ceduna most days of the week.
Travel from Adelaide by bus:
Premier Stateliner Coach Group operates a bus service between Adelaide and Ceduna on Mondays, departing Adelaide at 8.30am and arriving in Ceduna at 7.45pm.
Getting home from Cowell*
Complimentary travel from Cowell to Adelaide with Mulga Bicycle Tours:
We will be taking a slow drive back to Adelaide with breaks in Whyalla, Port Augusta and Port Wakefield arriving at HotelMOTEL Adelaide at approximately 6.00pm. There is no fee for this service. If you wish to join us on the return trip to Adelaide please select 'Travel from Cowell to Adelaide with Mulga Bicycle Tours' when booking.
Travel from Cowell to Adelaide by bus:
Premier Stateliner Coach Group operates a bus service between Port Lincoln and Adelaide on Saturdays and Thursdays departing Cowell BP Roadhouse at 10.27am and arriving in Adelaide at 5.50pm. They also run a service on Tuesdays, departing Cowell BP Roadhouse at 12.52pm, arriving in Adelaide at 8.20pm.
Travel from Cowell to Port Lincoln by bus:
Premier Stateliner Coach Group operates a bus service between Adelaide and Port Lincoln on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, departing Cowell BP Roadhouse at 3.56pm and arriving in Port Lincoln at 6.20pm.
Travel from Port Lincoln to Adelaide by plane:
Qantaslink has direct flights to Adeliade from Port Lincoln several times a day. Regional Express (Rex) may also have flights available. Port Lincoln Airport is located 13km from the centre of town. Taxi and Airport Shuttle Services are available.
