Mandatory Safety Equipment Checklist

Why do we require Mandatory Safety Equipment?

Our requirement for you to provide and bring Mandatory Safety Equipment on our tours has always been an integral component of our risk management plan with the required equipment chosen to maximise your safety as well as the safety of the group.

The use of Mandatory Safety Equipment is not unique to Mulga Bicycle Tours with many recreational and dangerous recreational activity providers asking participants to show their Mandatory Safety Equipment before they take part in the activity.

How we check your Mandatory Safety Equipment

To confirm that you have the required safety equipment we ask that you provide a photograph of your safety equipment, similar to the example photograph below and complete the following checklist no later than 5 days before the departure of your tour.

How to complete your Mandatory Safety Equipment checklist

  1. Assemble all your safety equipment listed in “What To Bring” in the Tour Information Pack we will send you in the month before your tour and take a photograph of all the items, as we have done in the example below. You do not need to number your items as we have done in our example but we must be able to see each item so we can match the items with your checklist.
  2. Complete the following checklist indicating you have all the required items, attach your photo and click SUBMIT. You will be unable to submit the form without including a photograph. (Please use the SUBMIT button. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL us your photo and/or a copy of this completed form.)
IMPORTANT:
  1. This online form is designed to be used with all our tours. Occasionally the list of Mandatory Safety Equipment included in your Tour Information Pack may be reduced and different to the list included in the following checklist. This is because some items are not required for all tours. When composing your photograph please ONLY USE the list of equipment listed in “What To Bring” section of the Tour Information Pack we send to you. If an item listed below does not appear in your Tour Information Pack answer "No" when asked if you have it. You will not be penalised for not having the item we have deemed unnecessary for your tour.

  2. If we do not receive your photograph and the completed checklist or we form the view that your equipment does not comply to our specification, you will not be allowed to commence the tour. If we determine that an item is unsuitable we will contact you and ask you to provide an alternative that does comply to our specification before you meet us for the Pre-Tour Check and Briefing.

  3. At the Pre-Tour Check and Briefing we may ask to see a random item from your Mandatory Safety Equipment so please make sure you pack every item and always have it quickly accessible.

After you have submitted the form you will be emailed a copy indicating your submission has been successful. If it does not come through to your mail box please check your junk folder.

If you have any difficulties completing this check list please call us before departing for the tour.
