How We Are Protecting Against Respiratory Infections In Our Support Vehicles
Our support and shuttle vehicles are still there if you want a break from pedalling, so you can cycle as much or as little as you please. However, to assist us with our respiratory infection prevention control measures we ask that you come prepared to ride the distance and road conditions planned for each day.
In line with our work health and safety procedures:
- We will monitor the Carbon Dioxide (CO2) levels within the vehicle aiming to keep the level of CO2 below 800ppm, (read why CO2 levels are used to monitor air quality here);
- To maximise the exchange of fresh air within the vehicle we will open the windows and set the air conditioner to external airflow instead of recirculation, unless it is not practical to do so. We acknowledge that this may not provide the most optimal level of comfort but it is the only way to maximise fresh air within the enclosed space of the vehicle;
- To assist with this we ask that you do not adjust or turn off the air conditioning in the passenger cabin;
- All our staff will wear N95 or P2 respirators in our vehicles when carrying passengers.
- When travelling in our vehicles we welcome and encourage guests to use the P2 respirators provided by Mulga.
- We will seat guests without physical distancing;
- We will allocate each guest a specific seat in the vehicle for their exclusive use during the tour; and
- We ask that you not get out of your seat and walk up and down the aisle whilst the vehicle is in motion.
Important: You will not be allowed to travel in the tour vehicles if you have tested positive to or are experiencing symptoms that are consistent with COVID-19.
